Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

Advances in Nutrition and Health Research is a peer-reviewed journal, and its publication processes are based on the impartial production, development and sharing of information produced by scientific methods.

Ethical responsibility belongs to the authors. In this regard, Advances in Nutrition and Health Research expects the authors to be in absolute compliance with "Research and Publication Ethics". Editorial board: has the right to ensure that each research is approved by the relevant boards and commissions before the research and to request the necessary documents.

  • In research conducted on humans and animals, compliance with the "National and International Ethical Guidelines" and permission from the relevant ethics committees are essential. Articles in the journal must be prepared within the framework of "ethical rules".
  • For research conducted in all branches of science that require ethics committee permission (ethics committee approval must be obtained, this approval must be stated and documented in the article).
  • In research requiring ethics committee permission, information about the permission (committee name, date and issue number) should be included in the method section and on the first/last page of the article.
  • In case reports, information about the signed informed consent/consent form must be included in the article.

ANHR takes responsibility for implementing rigorous peer review along with strict ethical policies and standards to ensure the inclusion of high-quality scientific work in the field of scholarly publishing. Unfortunately, cases of plagiarism, data falsification, improper authorship credit, and so on occur. We take such publishing ethics issues very seriously and our editors are trained to proceed with a zero-tolerance policy in such situations. Articles that comply with the spelling rules and format are subjected to plagiarism control at a later stage. Plagiarism control in the journal is carried out in accordance with the originality report uploaded by the author. The maximum similarity rate in the journal is accepted as 20%.

Scientific Responsibility

Scientific and legal responsibility of the articles belongs to the author and/or authors. All authors must have a direct scientific contribution to the submitted article. Names designated as authors must have all the roles and responsibilities of authors defined in the Guide of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) (http://www.icmje.org).

At the end of the articles, Researchers' Contribution Rate statement, Support and Acknowledgment Statement, if any, and Conflict Statement should be included.

Article Application and Evaluation Processes

Articles submitted for publication in the journal must be prepared in accordance with the "Advances in Nutrition and Health Research Writing Rules". Articles can only be submitted via the online system.

Articles should be sent by entering the article metadata from the "Send article" tab. All requested fields in the system must be filled in and ensure that the necessary files are uploaded to the system. The Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) numbers of the article authors must be included during the article application; When applying for an article, this internationally valid 16-digit number (https://orcid.org) must be entered into the online system and given along with the authors' information on the cover page.

The original signed "Application and Publication Rights Transfer Form", uploaded to the online system during the article application and signed by all authors, must be sent by mail to the journal's correspondence address. Author names and their order are taken as basis.

All articles sent for evaluation are evaluated by at least two referees who are experts in the field appointed by the editorial board. "Blind Referee Method" is applied during the evaluation process. The article is entitled to be published when positive opinions are received because of at least two peer reviews on the subject. The Editorial Board may increase the number of referees when deemed necessary. When the article is accepted for publication; The editorial board may also request additional revisions from the authors to increase the writing language, clarity, comprehensibility and scientific quality. The policy of evaluating accepted articles and making them ready for publication is adopted within 3 months. Full authority regarding the publication content of the journal and the printing times of this content belongs to the Editorial Board.
